Facility Care - Patient must be resident in a long
term care facility
Home Care - Where care is provided in a person's home
by a home support agency. The purpose is assistance in the basic
daily activities of living
Home Health Care - A program of professional,
paraprofessional or skilled care provided through a home health
care agency to a patient in his or her home
Adult Day Care - The insured must attend a program of
social and health related services provided during the day. The
purpose of the program is to support frail or impaired elderly
adults.
Hospice Care - An insured receives a program of
services primarily concerned with pain and symptom control for
people who are terminally ill.
Respite Care - This is short-term care that provides
temporary relief from care giving duties to a member of the
immediate family of the person insured.
Durable Medical Equipment - This benefit will pay up
to $5000 for the rental of durable medical equipment that is
designed and used to treat a sickness or injury in a person's
home.
Emergency Response System - This benefit will pay up
to $75 for installation and $35 per month for a communication
system. The purpose of the system is to call for assistance in the
event of a medical emergency.
Issue Age - age 49 to 80.

Global Health
Care is is a concept whose time has come. The
plan is
in 2 in two parts. Firstly, if you succumb to
any of the twenty-two covered illness the
company will pay a lump sum, minimum $25,000, up
to whatever you qualify for. (For covered
illnesses look under "Critical
Illness.")
The second part is the Global Health
Care rider, including the Best Doctors
program, covers the insured for up to
$1,000,000 for treatment outside of Canada. You
may elect to have treatment elsewhere in the
world to avoid long waiting times, or it may be
necessary to go to another country to get the
best treatment.
If you have treatment in Canada, the
company will increase your basic lump sum payout
by $50,000.
